Largest Arborealists Exhibition at Black Swan Arts
The largest exhibition to date of the Arborealists will take place this year at Black Swan Arts in Frome, beginning on the 21st July 2018 and running until 2nd September. Fourty three Arborealists will be taking part plus six guest artists who also explore the tree in their subject matter. This fantastic opportunity to show so many of the groups' talent and variety under one roof is an exciting prospect.
Artist talks will take place on 5th August, coinciding with The Frome Independent, a hugely popular specialist street market which takes place monthly in the town. The artist talk session is a ticketed event with tickets available from the gallery.

A FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO GARDENS, BEES AND LANDSCAPE ON THE BEAUTIFUL SCENARIO OF THE EUGANEAN HILLS AND VILLA DEI VESCOVI, AN ANCIENT VENETIAN VILLA PERFECTLY RESTORED AND NOW ONE OF THE BEST ITALIAN HERITAGE PROTECTED BY FAI.
ON SUNDAY 27TH, I WILL BE EXHIBITING MY LATESTS WORKS ON FLOWERS AND GARDENS TOGETHER WITH OTHER MANY STALLS, VENDORS AND THE CHIC- PIC-NIC AREA.

The Department of Promotion for Architect and Culture organizes the OPEN STUDIOS on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 of May 2018. The aim is to present to the largest public the world of architecture throu events, show, art echibits etc.
Il Dipartimento Promozione della Cultura Architettonica organizza, in tutta Italia, il 18 e 19 maggio la manifestazione: “OPEN STUDI APERTI” per far conoscere al pubblico il MONDO DELL'ARCHITETTURA. La manifestazione intende stimolare gli stessi architetti a promuovere il loro lavoro e la loro attività aprendo il proprio studio al pubblico, proponendo anche singoli eventi, mostre e incontri.

AN IMPRESSIONIST GARDEN, created by 70.000 bulbs of tulips in Villa Pisani Scalabrin, is guesting my exhibit dedicated to flowers. Tulips, peonies and dandelions are some of the new paintings I have on show. Until April 25th.
A NEW COWORKING IN A GREEN BUILDING

Tonight the grand opening of a new space for coworking called Arsenale in the green building DOMUS EVOLUTIVA settled in the industrial area of Dolo, along the Riviera del Brenta (Venice). A very special place where to rent offices, temporary shops, labs for start ups or just share a new idea of economy and business. On the walls, artworks of various artists: among them Ida Harm's and mArta Bonaventura's.
For the opening of this new project, I whis prosperity and good luck by setting up a few seeds of great trees, an olive tree ( 1x2 metres) and a dendelion...to blow on.

In occasione della Giornata Nazionale degli Alberi 2017, che si terrà il 21 novembre, l’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Padova ha individuato nelle opere dell’artista IDA HARM il modo migliore per celebrare la natura, dato che l’Albero è da sempre il tema centrale del lavoro dell’artista.
Storie di Alberi è una mostra che riassume il percorso che ha portato l'artista a misurarsi con grandi alberi solitari e con il loro valore culturale, con le foreste simboliche e ancestrali, con i semi e il loro potenziale biologico, per approdare alla percezione dell’albero attraverso gli occhi dell’infanzia.
In questa nuova esposizione, dopo le recenti mostre allestite in altre prestigiose sedi, vengono presentate più di venti opere, in cui viene data particolare rilevanza ai semi, simbolo di nascita, diversità, potenzialità, destino dell’essere umano, e ai boschi che per l'artista sono luogo di «passaggi, vie che portano al cambiamento».
Come scrive la stessa Ida Harm, nata in provincia di Venezia ma che da anni lavora a Padova, “in questa mostra sono raccolti molti lavori che adesso assumono per me un significato legato al mutare, in un passaggio continuo da uno stato all'altro. Come certi sentieri appena tracciati che conducono fuori da un bosco e ti portano ad una radura luminosa. Ma anche passaggi da seme a pianta, e da albero solitario a foresta, in un divenire incessante. Non è un dato oggettivo quello che dipingo, ma emozionale. Spero che arrivi dritto al centro di ciascuno e che faccia vedere, percepire, ricordare il nostro rapporto intimo e indissolubile con una semplice pianta, con un piccolo seme, con un immenso bosco”.
Querce, ghiande, alberi, pigne, foreste e giardini descrivono un mondo che non è solo realistico ma anche fortemente simbolico, antropologico, culturale. La luce è la protagonista dei dipinti: le pennellate puntuali, quasi a scomporre i colori, fanno vibrare la tela restituendo l'impressione di trovarsi in un giardino, all'ombra di rami e davanti a paesaggi infiniti. L’artista utilizza pigmenti e medium naturali mischiati sapientemente con il digitale, acrilici e una visione fotografica moderna, introducendo nelle immagini anche la parola scritta.
Da poco è uscita la pubblicazione del suo viaggio personale alla conoscenza degli alberi e del loro simbolismo dal titolo "Back to the Roots", introdotta da Tiziano Fratus, poeta e scrittore che firma la rubrica “Cercatore di alberi” per il quotidiano torinese La Stampa, autore di molti libri sugli alberi secolari. Il volume, realizzato con carta riciclata e pasta legno, è un libro/catalogo autobiografico che va a ritroso fino alle radici del lavoro della Harm, con riflessioni, aneddoti, fotografie, schizzi di questa “pittrice degli alberi”.
Il percorso artistico di Ida Harm comincia dopo vari soggiorni e viaggi all'estero fra nord Africa, sud America e nord Europa. Inizia a Padova dapprima con la fotografia, frequentando il Gruppo Fotografico Antenore e il gruppo Mignon di Padova, e arriva alla pittura dove apprende l'uso di tecniche pittoriche naturali e antiche. Espone da quasi vent'anni in Fiere d'Arte Contemporanea in Europa, Musei, Gallerie d'arte e spazi istituzionali. Vive e lavora a Padova.

With my great honour, my works are guest in the ancient core of Cortina d'Ampezzo: the Casa delle Regole (the House of Rules) where traditionally native families meet to rule the heritage forests, waters and grazing land since Middle Ages. The House guests the Museum of Modern Art where on the first floor more than 40 artworks of trees and seeds will be on exhibit. An art exhibition to celebrate the power of seeds, bio-diversity, mother nature and its healing power on us. A place from where we should restart.
The exhibit will last until April 17th.
