Nella terza ecologia si dà spazio a come le entità inanimate (rocce, fiumi, foreste, piante…) mettono in scena la propria “soggettività”. Poiché non parlano il linguaggio degli umani, gli esseri naturali devono venire trattati come “incapaci legali” dalla legge come nelle parole di Christopher D. Stone:” Dire che i corsi d’acqua e le foreste non possono essere riconosciuti legalmente perché non possono parlare non è argomento valido...[…] quindi serve un curatore che li rappresenti e tuteli nei loro interessi… //
In the third ecology, space is given to how inanimate entities (rocks, rivers, forests, plants...) stage their own "subjectivity".
