I work with pigments, natural earths and oxides, often mixed with acrylics, allowing the material itself to become part of the image. Trees and forests are recurring subjects, sometimes observed as living presences — including monumental trees whose existence I feel compelled to document — and sometimes approached through their symbolic and animist dimensions.

My paintings can move between observation and imagination: from the passage of light through foliage to the ancient presence of nymphs, deities and other forms of nature that inhabit our cultural memory.
