Photography is my way of working in the field: a visual notebook, a collection of field notes through which I observe, record and gather fragments of the places and subjects I encounter. These images often become the starting point for projects developed through other media, carrying observations from the field into painting, installation or land art. At other times, the photographs themselves become the work.
